About this Event
On Thursday, January 14 at 8:00 PM ET, One World will be hosting a virtual book club to discuss Kimberly Drew and Jenna Wortham’s Black Futures, led by Chris Jackson and featuring designer Jon Key of Morcos Key, who helped devise and art direct book. A “vivid, juicy, thick” (Kirkus Reviews) collection of images, photos, essays, memes, dialogues, recipes, tweets, poetry, and more, Black Futures showcases the radical, imaginative, provocative, and gorgeous world that Black creators are bringing forth—and how these creators seek to answer the question “What does it mean to be Black and alive today?” Learn more about the creative project in the five-minute discussion excerpt ft. Kimberly Drew
