On May 8, 2025, the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture kicked off its centennial celebration. The center will be celebrating 100 years of collecting the global African diaspora well into 2026, inviting the public to join in on various centennial programs and exhibitions. In the meantime, visitors can explore the centennial exhibition with the audio guide narrated by Reading Rainbow icon LeVar Burton.
