Virtual Reading to Spotlight Writers in the Arts on July 31
A virtual reading of Artists as Writers: Living and Sustaining a Creative Life will take place on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 6 to 7 p.m. EST. The free event, open to the public, will be hosted via Zoom at https://lnkd.in/dHeqyvaY.
The event will feature selected contributors to the anthology, including Sofia Ciel, Alicia McCalla, Kristine Rodriguez Kerr, and C. Travis Webb. The conversation will be moderated by co-editor Seph Rodney, PhD.
Artists as Writers presents thirty-two first-person accounts exploring how creative professionals navigate their lives and practices. Contributors reflect on the intersections of their work as artists and writers, offering candid perspectives on balancing roles, making critical decisions, overcoming challenges, and celebrating accomplishments. The volume is co-edited by Rodney and archivist Steven G. Fullwood.
This event is co-sponsored by the MS in Professional Writing Program at NYU School of Professional Studies and the Artists as Writers team.
