Project MUSE Offers Complimentary Access to The Textile Museum Journal This July
The Textile Museum is pleased to announce that The Textile Museum Journal is available with complimentary access throughout the month of July on Project MUSE: https://muse.jhu.edu/journal/883.
Established in 1962, The Textile Museum Journal has long been recognized as a leading publication for textile scholarship in North America. This peer-reviewed journal highlights high-quality research exploring the cultural, technical, historical, and aesthetic significance of textiles from Asian, African, and Indigenous American traditions. After a publishing hiatus following its 2004 issue, the journal resumed annual publication in 2017 in an online format, made possible by a Founding Patron gift from the Markarian Foundation.
Project MUSE, a nonprofit online platform providing access to scholarly journals and ebooks in the arts, humanities, and social sciences, recently selected The Textile Museum Journal for inclusion in its extensive collection. Project MUSE is widely used in libraries worldwide and is known for its high standards in curating peer-reviewed, mission-driven academic content. It hosts more than 800 journals and over 100,000 books from approximately 400 leading university presses, scholarly societies, and publishers. The inclusion of The Textile Museum Journal ensures its scholarship reaches a broad academic and professional audience through a user-friendly and widely respected platform.
Volumes 44 through 51 are freely available on Project MUSE for the month of July: https://muse.jhu.edu/journal/883.
In addition, volumes 1 through 43 remain freely accessible via the journal’s Archive.org page: https://archive.org/details/the-textile-museum-journal.
