Open Studio Collage
In honor of Juneteenth, come and engage with interdisciplinary artist Mary Enoch Elizabeth Baxter in an interactive art-making session inspired by her reinterpretation of 19th-century photographs. Rooted in Black feminist thought and transformative justice, Baxter’s work delves into overlooked histories while fostering pathways for collective healing and restoration. Discover Baxter’s creative process and craft your own collage reflecting themes of universal freedom and liberation, utilizing images from historic photographs in The Met collection.
