New York, NY — The Rikers Public Memory Project is currently accepting applications for two part-time positions aimed at expanding its community engagement and operational capacity. Applications are due by October 17.

The first role, Community Care Coordinator, is designed to strengthen the organization’s support network for narrators and cultural programming. Ideal candidates will have experience in social work or healing justice. The position pays $40 per hour and may evolve into a full-time staff role within the next year.

The second opening, Program Assistant, offers administrative and operational support across the organization. This opportunity is well-suited for students or early-career professionals committed to narrative change, social justice, and community healing. Compensation is $30 per hour.

Both positions are primarily remote but require New York City residency for occasional in-person programming. Benefits include paid time off, flexible scheduling, and a health care stipend.

Interested applicants and community members are encouraged to share the opportunity or visit rikersmemoryproject.org/opportunities for more information.
