Director & Chief Library Curator
Dr. kYmberly Keeton is the Director and Chief Library Curator of the art library gallery. She is a visionary and a pioneer in the field, overseeing daily operations and leading the library’s publishing platform. The creative scholar-practitioner received a PhD in Information Science & Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas in December 2024. She is a native of Fort Worth, Texas.
Editorial & Outreach Coordinator
Nia Johnson serves as the Remote Editorial and Outreach Coordinator. As a creative manager based in Oakland, CA, she shapes the library’s artistic narrative across all public platforms. Nia also develops outreach strategies to connect the library with the art community and broader audiences.
AI Reference & Virtual Librarian
Imani Smith is a virtual AI Reference librarian specializing in art resources at the library. She is the chat reference expert for the library’s art libguide. Her daily work comprises cataloging and archiving art books in the library’s digital repository. Imani hails from Wakanda, Africa.
Writer-At-Large & Collaborative Partner
Tia Ja’nae is a Creative Writer and Master Propagandist. The award-nominated and winning author contributes as a writer-at-large and her work is archived in our hip-hop repository. In her spare time she is a Trekkie listening to music in the SS Enterprise Holodeck.
