Hidden Charm Press seeks submissions from Black women for the print anthology “Extra MoJo! #3” on the theme The Power of Sisterhood.  The submissions period is March 1 – June 15, 2017 for a summer release. There is no submission fee, and this is a nonpaying market (meaning writers will receive neither monetary compensation nor a free copy).  HCP accepts poetry and flash memoir or social commentary.  An artistic personal narrative is wanted.  No journalistic or heavily footnoted academic perspectives,  thank you!

Considering the impact that the Black Lives Matter movement of the past few years, the Women’s March, and the post-Obama government  have had on you and your Black women communities is especially encouraged, but the theme needn’t be so narrowly or strictly interpreted.  Just tell us how the power of sisterhood has contributed to your peace of mind. Conversely, maybe explain what you wish would happen now, what has not been working and why.

1. E-mail: mojo_hcp@outlook.com  Subject line: Submission EM3.

2: Use Times New Roman 12.

3. Include the text of your work and a short bio in the body of the e-mail.  Attach your jpeg photo.

4. No simultaneous submissions or former print publications!  Work previously published only online will be considered.
