The James Baldwin Review (JBR) is an annual, Open Access, and peer-reviewed journal. It brings together a wide array of peer-reviewed critical and creative work on the life, writings, and legacy of James Baldwin. JBR publishes essays that invigorate scholarship on James Baldwin, catalyse explorations of the literary, political, and cultural influence of Baldwin’ writing and political activism, and deepen our understanding and appreciation of this complex and luminary figure. The editors encourage the submission of cross disciplinary articles on the life, writings, and legacy of James Baldwin, particularly those that engage with the writer’s continuing relevance in our current times and contexts.
