ART History | 2021 Chuck’s & Pearls

African American Women Make History Celebrating the swearing in of Kamala Harris, Vice-President Elect of these United States of America. As the Chief Curator of ART | library deco I participated in the National Chuck’s & Pearls event festivities this year to welcome in the Biden/Harris era. Check out my selfie from earlier today. I am styling my first pair of Chuck Taylor’s. In like manner, I felt that this image by Emory Graduate, Bria Goeller is the best of the best for this late-night message in honor of history being made today! The power, strength, and sheer determination to be unstoppable speaks in volumes. Check out the quote by our Madam President about her fascination with the Chuck Taylor brand.

“I have a whole collection of Chuck Taylors: a black leather pair, a white pair, I have the kind that don’t lace, the kind that do lace, the kind I wear in the hot weather, the kind I wear in the cold weather, and the platform kind for when I’m wearing a pantsuit.” – Kamala Harris
