The archives cannot wait

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

Dear Library Supporter:

The archives cannot wait.

The Friends of ART | library deco urgently needs your support to help preserve and protect our archival collections housed in Houston, Texas.

After 12 years of personally maintaining many of the operational and storage costs connected to this work, we are now reaching out to our community for support as we continue building a sustainable future for the preservation of African American art history and cultural memory.

We urgently need to raise:
• $285.00 for our May 2026 storage fee
• Additional support for June, July, and August 2026 storage costs totaling $438.00

Any donations received beyond our immediate May balance will be applied toward upcoming storage expenses.

We are asking supporters to donate $25.00 or more to help us continue:

  • Preserving archival collections
  • Protecting irreplaceable historical records
  • Sustaining community memory and digital access
  • Safeguarding African American cultural heritage

Every donation matters. Every share helps.

Please support our campaign and help us continue this important preservation work.
